Evaluation report shows Let’s Get Working project delivering impressive employability and wellbeing outcomes for people with disabilities and long -term health issues
Reaching people through health services brings employment and psycho-social support to people far from the labour market
Launched in 2017, Let’s Get Working has worked with over a thousand people throughout East Sussex and Kent, transforming lives through personally tailored help to overcome obstacles to employment, learning or volunteering, and improve health and wellbeing. Focusing on the first three years of operation, the evaluation looks in depth at:
- how the project pioneered new ways to reach people unable to benefit from mainstream employment support
- why social prescribing should embrace employment support
- how LGW’s model of confidence and capacity building combined with practical help with everyday living has opened new horizons for ill and disabled people
- why social prescribing should embrace employment support
