This qualification will develop the knowledge and awareness of the types of provision in the Health, Social Care and Children’s and Young People’s sectors. They include the roles played by workers, from principles and values through to health and safety and working with others.

Qualification: CACHE LEVEL 1 AWARD IN INTRODUCTION TO HEALTH, SOCIAL CARE AND CHILDREN’S AND YOUNG PEOPLE’S SETTINGS
Level: Level 1
Duration: 15 days
Time: 9:30am-4:30pm Enrolment & Induction: 1 day prior to course starting (10am onwards)

ELIGIBILITY: 

• Aged 19+
• Unemployed and in receipt of benefits and able to provide evidence*
• Can provide a Passport or Birth Certificate as ID
• Can provide proof of address

UNITS UNDERTAKEN:

1. Understand the range of service provision and roles within health and social care
2. Understand the principles and values in health and social care
3. Introductory awareness of health and safety in health and social care
4. Awareness of the roles and responsibilities of the adult social care worker
