What is the D-Day 80 Challenge?

Join us for the D-Day 80 Challenge as we commemorate the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings in 1944.

We are asking you to take on 80km challenge throughout the month of June symbolizing the length of all five beaches where the Allied forces made their historic invasion. You can take on the challenge however you choose. You can choose to walk, run, wheel, cycle, scoot or even rollerblade your way to 80km.

This challenge is open to everyone, regardless of age or ability, and the best bit, it’s completely free! All we ask is that you raise money for RBLI and once you receive your first donation on your fundraising page, we’ll send you a free D-Day 80 challenge t-shirt.

It was at 10am on 6 June 1944 that the BBC Home Service presenter, John Snagge, announced these immortal words: “D-Day has come. Early this morning the Allies began the assault on the north-western face of Hitler’s European fortress.
