Success of the Telegraph Christmas Appeal

RBLI were extremely proud to be selected in the Telegraph’s 2022 Christmas Charity Appeal, through the campaign the Telegraph highlighted many of the struggles faced by veterans upon leaving the armed forces and how RBLI’s dedicated unwavering support helps those in need. Many RBLI residents, ambassadors and employees took part in the campaign and shared their stories to encourage people to donate to the cause. Those such as Jools Holland to Mark ‘Billy’ Billingham and RBLI brand ambassador Steve Hammond shared their stories of military experience and the work RBLI does.

Since the launch, the Telegraph have cast a light on the veterans who’ve courageously fought for our country but needed a little help to re-engage with civilian life, and explored the immense efforts of other veterans to help their comrades make that adjustment, through the RBLI. Chief Executive Lisa Farmer said, “The Telegraph have made sure that veteran voices are heard, especially Armed Forces veterans who are overcoming homelessness, injury and mental health crisis.”

Vital funds were raised in the campaign which will provide RBLI with the resource to ensure they are able to help veterans for another 100 years.
