The Great Tommy Sleep Out Raises £1.2 Million

The Great Tommy Sleep Out is RBLI’s flagship fundraising event that raises money for its work with homeless veterans. Throughout March, people sleep outdoors for one night or more to raise funds for RBLI’s work with homeless veterans. As everyone has different abilities, it’s up to the person or people taking part to pick their location, plan their night, or nights sleeping out, and fundraise. We are extremely proud to announce we have now raised over £1.2 Million to support our work with homeless veterans.

Lisa Farmer, RBLI’s Chief Executive, said,
“When you think that an estimated 6,000 veterans are street homeless in the UK right now, the support from people who take part in The Great Tommy Sleep Out has never been more important.”

Over 7,000 Sleep Outs meant that we saw supporters up and down the county (and beyond) take on the challenge of sleeping beneath the stars for one night or more.

With the money raised we can continue to support veterans, in their time of need, particularly in our emergency homeless accommodation Mountbatten Pavilion.
