BBMC Named Finalist for Social Enterprise UK Award

Britain’s Bravest Manufacturing Company (BBMC) has been named a finalist in the Education, Training & Jobs Social Enterprise of the Year category at the prestigious Social Enterprise UK Awards 2025.

This recognition celebrates BBMC’s leadership in inclusive employment and its commitment to combining commercial excellence with deep social impact. As part of Royal British Legion Industries’ (RBLI) social enterprise network, BBMC creates long-term careers for Armed Forces veterans and people with disabilities and currently employs more than 100 individuals, over 70% of whom are from these priority groups.

BBMC’s employment model generates more than £1.2 million in social value each year, and with a £12.5 million expansion underway—including a purpose-built manufacturing facility and dedicated Training Academy—that figure is set to rise significantly. The new site will increase production capacity, introduce new service lines, and offer accredited training routes for individuals facing complex barriers to work.

The Training Academy is expected to support up to 100 learners annually, while the expansion could create up to 80 new jobs, further strengthening BBMC’s national impact.

Award winners will be announced at the Social Enterprise UK Awards ceremony in November.
