Veteran’s Poetry Book Printed at BBMC Leatherhead

Royal Navy veteran and poet Andrew D McEvoy will visit Royal British Legion Industries’ (RBLI) Village in Aylesford this October as part of his UK book tour for Poetry That Speaks Deeply, a powerful collection shaped by his lived experience and journey through PTSD.

The book was printed at Britain’s Bravest Manufacturing Company (BBMC) in Leatherhead, one of RBLI’s social enterprise factories. As part of an organisation that proudly employs veterans across its services, this collaboration is a meaningful example of veterans supporting veterans, bringing lived experience and purposeful production together.

Andrew served nine years in the Royal Navy, beginning in 1984. His poetry offers personal reflections, each accompanied by the story behind its creation. Published by Wordsmith & Paper Limited, Poetry That Speaks Deeply is available in both paperback and eBook formats.

Renford Marsden, CEO and Founder of Wordsmith & Paper Limited, said: “As the CEO of a niche publishing house, a signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant, and a Silver Champion of the RBLI Tommy Club, this was an ideal project to collaborate on with RBLI. I’ve previously worked with Britain’s Bravest Manufacturing Company on other publishing projects.

“I knew it was important to this veteran author that the printing of this book involved veterans and people with disabilities within a social enterprise context. It ticked all the boxes, making the project very meaningful and thought-provoking for those who reach the final page of the book.”

RBLI is proud to welcome Andrew to the Village this autumn. Details of his visit will be shared soon.
