 By entering the event, you agree to read, accept, and comply with these terms and conditions issued by the organiser, Royal British Legion Industries (RBLI).

1. Event Details

Date: 5th June – 6th June 2026

2. Entry Fees

The entry fee is as published on the RBLI website at the time of application. Entry fees are non-refundable except as set out in these terms and conditions.

3. Closing Date

Online entries close at the earlier of:

– 12:00 pm (midday) on Friday 29th May 2026, or

– the date on which all available places are filled (as confirmed on the website).

4. Entry Policy

Age restrictions:

– 18 (eighteen) years of age or over

Teams:

Each team member must register individually via the online entry system.

5. Participant Responsibility

Participation is entirely at your own risk. RBLI is not liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from participation, except where liability cannot be excluded by law (e.g., death or personal injury caused by RBLI’s negligence).

6. Medical Conditions

– Participants are advised to prepare adequately and consult a medical professional if they have not exercised recently or have a medical condition.

– Participants must withdraw if a condition arises that affects their ability to compete.

– RBLI may prevent participation for medical/safety reasons at its discretion.

– Consent is given for necessary medical treatment by qualified personnel during the event.

7. Deferrals

Entries cannot be deferred or transferred to another person.

8. Withdrawals

Withdrawn participants are not entitled to a refund.

9. Animals

Participants are not permitted to bring pets or other animals onto the event course. Participants

requiring assistance are referred to condition 10.

10. Assisted Participants

Participants requiring assistance (e.g., pushed in a wheelchair or guided by a runner) must inform the organiser when registering. The guide runner must also be a registered participant but will be provided with a free entry place upon request (via [email protected]).

11. Health & Safety

– Bikes, scooters, roller skates, or any kind or mechanical aide (except wheelchairs and

pushchairs) are prohibited from the event course on the day of the event.

– Please consider whether the weather/terrain is suitable for you to take part

– All participants must wear appropriate footwear and clothing.

– RBLI may prevent participation if necessary for safety, enjoyment, or event integrity.

– All organiser decisions regarding safety, organisation, rules, timings, and positions are final.

12. Data Protection

– Personal data (name, contact details, date of birth, emergency contacts, etc.) will be stored and used only for event organisation and essential communications.

– Data will not be used for marketing unless explicit consent is given.

– Results may be shared with the official timing provider and disclosed to medical staff if required.

– All third parties comply with GDPR.

13. Registration Packs

Information packs must be collected on the day. Please allow sufficient time before the trek start.

15. Use of Images
By agreeing to our terms and conditions, the participant consents to the event being filmed recorded, or exploited by means of television, films, video or some other broadcast of media format and address to the use of reproduction of their name, likeness appearance, and photograph. All such commercial rights in relations to the same belong entirely to the organiser and the participant has no proprietary rights in relation to any film, photograph, or other such recorded media. If the participant does not wish for their image to be used in this manner, they should contact the organiser via [email protected] prior to the event taking place.
16. Baggage Storage

There is no official bag drop. Personal items are left entirely at the participant’s risk.

17. First Aid

– First aid will be available for the duration of the event.

– Marshals are not medically trained but will alert emergency services if required.

– Participants consent to medical information being shared with medical teams on the day if needed.

18. Cancellation – Organiser’s Discretion

– RBLI may cancel the event up to one month prior if entries are insufficient or the event is not viable.

– In such cases, entry fees will be refunded within 30 days. Donations (including Gift Aid) will not be refunded.

19. Cancellation – Force Majeure

– Events outside RBLI’s control (e.g., extreme weather, public authority restrictions, strikes, terrorism, disease outbreaks) may result in cancellation, postponement, or alteration.

– In such cases, no refunds will be provided.

– RBLI will make reasonable efforts to rearrange the event

20. Event Date & Time

– RBLI may alter the date and/or start time.

– If the date is changed (other than under section 19), refunds are available on request within 14 days.

– Changes to start times will not entitle participants to refunds.

21. Mementos

Each finisher will receive one medal (strictly one per participant).

22. Event Times

RBLI will use reasonable efforts to provide finish times but accepts no responsibility for technical errors or anomalies.

23. Mailing Lists

Participants will only receive marketing communications if they opt in. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.

24. Rules

Participants must comply with all event and governing body rules. RBLI may introduce cut-off times; participants may be required to withdraw if they do not meet these. No refunds will be provided for disqualification.

25. General

– RBLI may update these terms; the latest version will be available online.

– Nothing in these terms creates a partnership or agency relationship with any third party.

– Any waiver must be in writing.

– These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

26. Disclaimer

– By entering, participants accept all instructions issued by RBLI and event officials. RBLI accepts no liability for loss or damage, including indirect or consequential loss, arising from participation (including travel to and from the event).

– RBLI accepts no responsibility for the condition of the course surface. Participants should ensure they are satisfied before starting the event.
